I first posted this page about PENELOPE on April 20, 2008,
and am updating her page with new pics so you can see what a beautiful girl she turned into.
No one can imagine how I felt when I read the emails below that were sent to me on Saturday,
April 19, 2008. I became sick to my stomach and started to cry. How could this happen to one of my "babies"? I
am very careful screening people who want one of my poodles, and they are always sold on limited registrations. Also, my contract
states that if for any reason they can no longer keep the puppy, it must come back to me. My babies trust me to find
them a loving home, and I guess I failed badly on this one. The woman who bought my red toy female puppy was a lovely
individual or so I thought. One never really knows about people no matter how nice they seem. If I knew where
this individual is now, I would certainly press charges. Fortunately, this story has a happy ending, and I am so thankful
to Erica.
Hi, My name is Erica. I recently was given a red 14 month old
puppy that was abandoned in a cage in somebody's house. I live in Kissimmee, FL. Whoever had her, left the papers on
top of her cage. That is how I found out you were the breeder of her. I am a groomer and she was brought into my shop completely
matted. She could not even use the bathroom because of it being so matted around her butt. She was shaved down completely
even the ears had to go. It was one of the worst cases I have seen. The people who found her in the house could not keep her,
and since I recently lost my parti toy poodle, it seemed like the right thing to do too keep her myself. I was just
wondering if you could give me any info on her. or have pictures of her when she was a pup. The name of the person you
sold her to is KISHA________and the pup was born on 2/8/07. If you could give me any kind of info on her I would greatly appreciate
it. Thank you so much. SHE IS IN A GOOD HOME NOW!
We
work with Erica (AKA Penelope's new Mom). Your red-colored beautiful poodle. My name is Jackie and I am partner's with Debbie.
I am the groomer who shaved down Penelope's coat. She sat there like she had been a Pro at the groomers for years on
end. I shaved her coat down first so I would not scare her with the sound of the clippers. Then I shaved her feet. Perfect.
Sat there like a model. Angel of a doggie. Then her face I shaved last. Absolutely beautiful! She is Awesome. She is
our mascot at the shop. Miss Penelope of "A Classy Place." When you check out our website you will see a poodle
brushing her hair in the mirror. We are replacing her with Penelope's photo once her hair is restored and put into a Modified
Continental Clip with pom poms. Show clip. It was one of the worse cases I
have seen myself. I have seen a lot in this Business and it does make you sick to your stomach that people do this AND
get away with it. I, also, would press charges if I found the young lady. Which I may investigate to find
her. Shame on her!!!! She makes me sick. Penelope is VERY happy. She comes to work everyday at the shop. She has a
lounge chair bed next to where Erika bath's and blow-dries. NO CAGE DRYING!!! Everything is all done by hand.
Manual labor. She has grilled chicken for lunch with Crystal distilled water. She also dresses for her job. Bows and polish,
of course. She gets a bath once a week. Her detail work feet, face, tail brush-out every three days. We want that fluffy coat
back. She is a Blessing to us. You breed BEAUTIFUL QUALITY POODLES! Erika
is the happiest girl I have seen in a long time after loosing her parti poodle Prince. This was fate for Erika. It was meant
to be. GOD brought these two together. I'm sure of it. Thank you for emailing Erica back with the baby pictures. I want you
to know you can relax because Penelope is very well blessed now and will have a GREAT life with Erica and all her buddies
at A Classy Place. The salon most pets prefer. Thank you again, Sharon.
If
there is anything we can do for you just give us a call or email. I love Happy Endings. I'm not only a groomer but a screenplay
writer also. This story I cannot pass up to write about. When I have it completed you will be the first to read it.
As of 11/2/10 you can see the big improvement in
Penelope and how happy she looks. I am so thankful she was rescued and living in a wonderful home. No animal deserves
to be abandoned or neglected the way Penelope was. Her before and after photos are pictured below!
Penelope at 6 weeks old
4/19/08 - Penelope day she was rescued and cut completely down. She looks so frightened
but she now has a wonderful home!
5/23/08- Penelope with her hair growing back
5/22/09 - Penelope (1 yr. later) is doing great, and is always groomed to perfection by Erica of A
CLASSY PLACE PET GROOMING. Thank you Erica for giving my girl a loving, forever home!
Thank you Erica for giving Penelope the best home she could ever want! She looks absolutely
stunning.
